Our history
CashRent is a dual-sided land leasing marketplace that connects farmers and landowners to facilitate rural land rental agreements. CashRent is a marketplace, not a middleman. This means we provide a platform for farmers and landowners to transact directly with one another, rather than operating between the two parties. Our mission is to use technology and data to bring transparency to a notoriously opaque industry: farmland leasing.
CashRent was founded when farm owner Chris Baumann realized there was lack of clear data available to aid in the decision-making process when it came time to rent out his land.
He had multiple offers coming in, but there was no way of knowing what was a fair price for everyone. Chris knew there had to be a better way. CashRent was founded in an effort to bring transparency to the farmland leasing process and to give farmers and landowners more choices when running their business.
CashRent helps landowners find the best tenants for their ground and helps farmers gain access to opportunities to expand their operation.
